Hope you're doing well!
I couldn't be more excited to be a part of MultiplayerLocal. After moving to North Carolina from Minnesota, I'll never forget the personal loneliness that can come with a busy schedule alongside not having any close friends, or struggling to find a coworker with the mutual interest of gaming. After another Saturday shift, with a day and a half of break before another work 55-60 hour work week, I was slowly getting out of my car.
My wife came out to see me, I looked at her and said, "I wish there was a simple website or app that allowed you to search by game, console, or genre, and get matched based on a zip code, so I could find somebody near by to play with and make some local friends." I always told Kristin that I was hoping to get lucky with a neighbor that just happened to be a cool, fun person that also enjoyed gaming together, whether it was in VS or Co-Op.

Though, the friend I have been luckiest to meet came years before that, in the most unlikely of ways. I was fresh out of college with a desperate sales job, 100% commission and going B2B trying to sell office supplies in a suit all day in a Carolina summer.
I happened to walk into a building with multiple offices and saw a door "Solanimus Inc". Little did I know, this is where I would meet David Klingler; the same David that pedaled the first-ever NES bike in our Gaming & Running challenges, and the same David that's responsible for this beautiful and powerful site. If it wasn't for him, MultiplayerLocal would be nothing more than what it was for me that somber Saturday - a pipe dream, a fantasy, just an idea. But thankfully, this dream has now become a reality.

I can't wait to witness all of the lives that are positively impacted by finding new friends, and even relationships, that share the same passions for gaming, as well as also enjoy other activities together.

I was born in '91, grew up with a Super Nintendo already in the house due to older siblings (thank goodness) and we got an N64 a few years later. We also got a gamecube and Wii during Christmases too... safe to say we were a Nintendo family. But we also loved playing Playstation and Sega consoles at our friends' houses too, to get a view of "the other side" and my brothers play current Xbox/Playstation consoles these days.

I'll never shake the enthusiasm of what it's like tackling a game with a friend, or playing for hours in a friendly-competitive setting, and I want this to be something EVERYBODY can experience. Thanks to MPL, it can finally much more possible than ever before. I'm pumped to meet new gamers, and unite in the best and easiest way ever created.
